Role
You will build and lead Sesterce's legal function as the company scales GPU infrastructure operations across France and Europe — drafting, negotiating, and closing deals directly, not just overseeing outside counsel.
What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements: customer MSAs, DPAs, hardware supply contracts (NVIDIA, ODMs), and financial partnership agreements
- Own compliance across EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2, and applicable French law including defense and critical infrastructure regulations
- Manage external counsel across France, European jurisdictions and US ; coordinate on cross-border transactions and M&A
- Advise the executive team on corporate structuring, equity, and governance through fundraising and international expansion
- Build internal legal processes and templates that let commercial and ops teams move fast without creating exposure
What we are looking for
- French-qualified lawyer (or equivalent European bar), 6+ years PQE, with substantive work in technology, infrastructure, or project finance
- Direct experience negotiating complex B2B technology or infrastructure contracts; SaaS, IaaS, or data center contracting is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of GDPR and emerging AI regulation; experience with regulated or defense infrastructure is an advantage
- Fluent in French and English; additional European languages are a plus
- Comfortable being legal as an enabler in a fast-moving environment, not a bottleneck
